After School Clubs

 

Registration for Fall 2019 clubs is via ParentSquare. 

Running Club, $35

Running Foxes is an after school running club that encourages students to lead an active lifestyle and set personal running goals. During practice, students learn healthy tips, play games, and RUN! There are two timed mile runs over the course of the season so students can measure their progress. Students are encouraged to bring a healthy snack of fruits and/or vegetables to enjoy prior to our warm up.

Days: Monday

Times: 3:10pm-4:10pm

Dates: 9/9/19-11/4/19 (no practice 10/14/19)

Grade Levels: K-5

Minimum: 10 and Maximum 20 (maximum number increased depending on number of parent volunteers)

Art Club, $35

Build your art portfolio with Ms. Sullivan! Art club will focus on higher level skill and craftsmanship in areas such as sculpture, ceramics, drawing, comic book, and painting. Art club will provide students with an atelier art studio experience.

Days: Tuesday

Times: 3:10pm-4:10pm

Dates: 9/10/19-11/5/19 (no club 10/15/19)

Grade Levels: K-5

Minimum: 5 and Maximum: 18

Chess Club, $35

Learn to play chess with Mrs. Escobar! Chess club teaches students the rules of chess and provides a venue for them to play and practice together. Students who are already familiar with the game can share their knowledge while enhancing their own skills.

Days: Friday

Times: 3:10pm-4:10pm

Dates: 9/13/19-11/15/19 (no club 10/11/19 or 10/18/19)

Grade Levels: 2-5

Minimum: 6 and Maximum: 24

STEM xCEL Club: Introduction to Game Design, $130

Intro to Game Design introduces students to important game design concepts so they may use their creativity and problem solving skills to create fun, complete, and shareable games! The course teaches students important factors they need to consider when creating a game such as game mechanics, player experience, art, story, and how to work within your scope. By discussions, activities, and computer work, students learn how to make games from beginning to end. By the end, students will have their own account so they can play at home.
